Introducing Debra Braunling-McMorrow, PhD. President and CEO of Learning Services

On November 12, 2012, Dr. Debra Braunling-McMorrow was named the new President and CEO of Learning Services.

In recent years, Learning Services has focused on expanding post-acute neuro-rehabilitation services within the existing programs. With a strong foundation and service delivery model in place, the company is ready for continued development. Dr. McMorrow brings the leadership and expertise that will ensure the company’s success in achieving further growth and expansion in strategic locations nationally. Her knowledge and drive for excellence will set the stage for Learning Services to lead the industry in delivering the highest quality programs for people challenged by or living with acquired brain injuries.

Dr. McMorrow’s professional experience includes 25-years in the field of neuro-rehabilitation and post acute neuro-rehabilitation programs. She is widely published, and has presented extensively in the field of brain injury rehabilitation. Prior to accepting the position with Learning Services, she was the Vice President of Business Development and Outcomes for NeuroRestorative. She served as Vice President of Quality Assurance for the Mentor ABI Group, as well as led operations for the Center for Comprehensive Services for 12 years, a member of The MENTOR Network.

Dr. McMorrow serves on the board of the North American Brain Injury Society and is the recipient of the 2007 NABIS Clinical Service Award. She also serves as a Board of Trustee member for the Southern Illinois Healthcare Systems, is a member of the Federal Legislative Action Committee for the Brain Injury Association of America and is a CARF Medical Rehabilitation surveyor. Dr. McMorrow is a past chair of the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS) and has served on the Brain Injury Association of America’s board of executive directors as the Vice-Chair for Program Outcomes.

Additionally, Dr. McMorrow has served on several national committees and editorial boards as well as on a number of Peer Review Panels including for the U.S. Department of Education NIDRR and the Department of Health and Human Services HRSA. She received the Alumni Achievement Award from the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale College of Education and Human Services in 2011.
